Doug grew up in a Christian home in Toledo, Ohio, where his family attended an Alliance church. After he went to Houghton College, in New York State, his parents moved to Columbus, and were members of First Alliance for about twenty years. Doug met his wife, Linda, at Houghton, where they both earned Bachelor of Arts degrees. After getting married, they moved to Massachusetts, where Doug earned his M.Div. degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Since 1976, he has been licensed and ordained, while serving churches in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Ohio. He plays viola and guitar, and enjoys reading and spending time with his grandsons. Doug & Linda, who teaches public school music, and plays piano and violin, began their ministry at First Alliance in 2009. Their son, Joel, lives in the horn of Africa with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son, Isaiah. Their daughter, Julia Richardson, lives in Ohio with her husband, Roscoe, and their son, Micah.

Burt grew up in Canfield, Ohio where he enjoyed sports, neighborhood activities, and going to the Canfield Fair each fall. After becoming a follower of Christ before his senior year in high school, Later, Burt and his wife Jan traveled to St. Paul, MN where he attended Bethel Theological Seminary. Burt and his family have been with First Alliance Columbus leading the ministries of KIDMO and Urban Connections. Burt and Jan have three beautiful daughters, Shari, Sara and Caryn and are new grandparents.

Born and raised in Richmond Virginia. Through the ministries of First Alliance, he surrendered his life to Christ in 2003.  Jim now shares his incredible testimony of how Christ saved his life. Jim heads up The Alpha Course along with other ministries at First Alliance. Jim also has a passion for music. He spent many years traveling and playing with rock, country and blues bands and now uses that passion playing guitar with the First Alliance Worship Team.

Jim is married to Nanci and he has a beautiful step daughter, Caitlin.
